Forvibe is a hosted Streamable HTTP server. You only need the endpoint and an authentication method supported by your client.

1

Choose OAuth or an API key

Choose OAuth when your client can discover and authenticate a remote MCP server. It opens Forvibe in your browser and avoids copying a secret. For header-based clients, create a key at Settings → API Keys; the fvk_live_… value is shown once.

A personal API key is bound to the active organization and currently carries the access allowed by your organization role. Store it in an environment variable or secret store, never in committed configuration.

2

Follow the current guide for your client

  • Claude Code: claude mcp add and browser OAuth
  • Claude custom connector: Claude web, Desktop, and mobile
  • Claude Desktop: current remote-connector flow
  • Cursor: .cursor/mcp.json or Cursor's MCP settings
  • Windsurf: Cascade MCP settings and ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json
  • VS Code: native GitHub Copilot Agent mode
  • Gemini: Gemini CLI and Code Assist configuration
  • ChatGPT: Developer mode and a custom MCP app on ChatGPT web
  • OpenAI Codex: shared ChatGPT desktop, CLI, and IDE configuration
3

Use the canonical endpoint

text
https://forvibe.app/mcp

Do not append another transport path. Forvibe handles authenticated GET, POST, and DELETE requests at this URL.

4

Verify with a read-only request

Open a new agent conversation and ask:

text
Use Forvibe to list my projects.

The client should call list_projects. If it does not, confirm that Forvibe is enabled in the client's tool picker and see Troubleshooting.

The Tools Reference lists the exact public surface. Tools available only inside Forvibe's console are intentionally excluded.
