Claude Code

Add the hosted Forvibe MCP server to Claude Code with OAuth or a Bearer token.

Claude Code supports remote HTTP MCP servers in the terminal, VS Code extension, and JetBrains plugin. OAuth is the recommended setup because the secret is not embedded in a command or project file.

1

Add the remote server

bash
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user forvibe https://forvibe.app/mcp

--scope user makes Forvibe available in every project on this machine. Omit it for Claude Code's default local scope, or use --scope project only when you intentionally want a shareable .mcp.json entry.

2

Authenticate

Start Claude Code and run /mcp. Select forvibe, choose authentication, and approve access in the Forvibe browser window. Claude Code discovers Forvibe's OAuth endpoints automatically.

3

Verify

bash
claude mcp list
claude mcp get forvibe

Then ask: "Use Forvibe to list my projects."

Alternative: personal API key

If browser OAuth is unavailable in your environment, create a key at Settings → API Keys and add it as a header:

bash
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user forvibe https://forvibe.app/mcp \
  --header "Authorization: Bearer fvk_live_..."

The header command can remain in shell history. Prefer OAuth; if you use a key, avoid shared terminals and rotate the key if the history or Claude configuration is exposed.

Remove the server

bash
claude mcp remove forvibe
