ChatGPT
Add Forvibe as a custom MCP app in ChatGPT Developer mode.
ChatGPT connects to Forvibe as a custom MCP app through Developer mode and OAuth. This flow runs on ChatGPT web; custom MCP apps are not available in the ChatGPT mobile apps.
Capability depends on the ChatGPT plan. Business, Enterprise, and Edu workspaces can use read and write MCP tools when their administrators allow Developer mode. ChatGPT Pro supports read/fetch tools only, so Forvibe actions that change or publish data will not be available there.
Create the app
Enable Developer mode
On chatgpt.com, open Settings → Apps → Advanced settings and enable Developer mode. Business admins or owners can also start from Workspace settings → Apps → Create. In Enterprise and Edu, an administrator must first grant Developer mode to your role under Permissions & Roles → Connected Data.
Add a custom MCP app
Open Settings → Apps → Create (or Workspace settings → Apps → Create for an admin-managed draft), then enter:
- Name: Forvibe
- MCP server URL:
https://forvibe.app/mcp - Authentication: OAuth
Scan tools and approve Forvibe
Choose Scan Tools. ChatGPT opens Forvibe's consent screen; sign in, review the access, and approve. Wait for the scan to finish, then choose Create. The draft app appears under Settings → Apps with a Dev label.
Use the app in a chat
Start a new chat, enable Forvibe from the tools/apps menu, and ask: Use Forvibe to list my projects. ChatGPT may ask for confirmation before write actions based on app permissions and the action's context.
Workspace administration
In Business, only workspace Owners or Admins can enable Developer mode and deploy a custom app. Enterprise and Edu administrators can use role-based access controls to decide who can create or use developer apps. Each user should complete OAuth with their own Forvibe account; do not deploy a shared personal API key.
ChatGPT freezes an app's approved tool definitions. When Forvibe adds a tool or changes a schema, Enterprise/Edu admins must refresh and review the app's actions; Business workspaces may need to recreate and republish the app under the current rollout.
