Cursor supports remote Streamable HTTP servers in .cursor/mcp.json for a project or ~/.cursor/mcp.json for all projects on the machine.

1

Add Forvibe

json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "forvibe": {
      "url": "https://forvibe.app/mcp"
    }
  }
}

You can create the same entry from Cursor Settings → MCP → Add new global MCP server.

2

Authenticate

Open Cursor Settings → MCP, find forvibe, and choose Connect or Needs login. Approve the Forvibe browser consent flow. Reload the Cursor window if the status does not refresh.

3

Verify

In Agent mode, enable Forvibe from the tools list and ask: Use Forvibe to list my projects.

Alternative: API key header

json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "forvibe": {
      "url": "https://forvibe.app/mcp",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer ${env:FORVIBE_API_KEY}"
      }
    }
  }
}

Set FORVIBE_API_KEY in the environment used to launch Cursor. The ${env:NAME} form is Cursor's supported environment-variable interpolation syntax.

Do not replace the placeholder with a literal key in a project-level .cursor/mcp.json that may be committed.
