Windsurf

Connect Cascade to Forvibe with Windsurf's current MCP configuration file.

Windsurf stores its raw MCP configuration at ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json. For a remote HTTP server it uses serverUrl.

Setup with a Forvibe API key

1

Create a dedicated key

Create a key at Settings → API Keys and name it for this Windsurf installation so it can be revoked independently.

2

Open the raw config

In Cascade, open the MCP or Plugins panel and choose View raw config, or edit ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json directly.

3

Add Forvibe

json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "forvibe": {
      "serverUrl": "https://forvibe.app/mcp",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer fvk_live_..."
      }
    }
  }
}

This file contains the secret literally. Keep it outside repositories, restrict access to your user account, and revoke the dedicated key if the machine or file is exposed.

4

Refresh Cascade

Refresh MCP servers from the Cascade MCP panel or restart Windsurf. Enable forvibe, then ask: Use Forvibe to list my projects.

Windsurf's UI and OAuth behavior have changed across releases. This guide uses the header configuration supported by the current serverUrl schema instead of promising an automatic OAuth flow.
